Yes, you might have seen the movie starred by Julia Roberts called Eat, Pray, Love. In that movie, most of the setting we can see is in Ubud area. The pictures speak themselves. Ubud is like a showcase of the most essential cultural element of the Balinese people. The agricultural life, the arts, the culture, and of course the wisdom.
When you are looking for artistic activities to see the museums, galleries, and wonderful art and craft centre, Ubud is certainly the best place to be. Around Ubud, you can also visit other villages such as Peliatan, Kedewatan, to see a more ‘preserved’ community. Not to mentioned the wonderful contour of this village is astonishing. The hills are like being crafted in a certain way. Enriched by the lush green valley and the rivers are delightfully curved in a graceful way.
In these days, Ubud is also famous with its wonderful cottages and villas to stay as long as you like.
